In the News

IPEMA and the Voice of Play Board of Advisors have been making exciting news lately ... read more about it below!

Voice of Play Statement in Support of "Let's Move!" Campaign Against Childhood Obesity

The Voice of Play, a play advocacy initiative of the International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) commends First Lady Michelle Obama for initiating the “Let’s Move” campaign against childhood obesity.

Playgrounds and playing help reduce childhood obesity and have many different social, cognitive and emotional benefits. Parents are urged to sign the Voice of Play’s Parent Play Pledge, downloadable at www.voiceofplay.org, and commit to make outdoor free play every day. Visit the Voice of Play for more information about the importance of free play and for resources available to families, schools and communities. Parents can also become a fan of The Voice of Play on Facebook.
